I hear my herb garden calling to smell the violets there.
Amen!
Purple
The Church uses purple
for sadness and solemnity,
but all over our backyard
violets bloom in the grass,
their bright purple blossoms
and shiny green leaves
neither sad nor solemn,
but a sign of spring hope
…and Resurrection!

Violet blooms are harbinger of Spring.
Though they don’t last the summer,
Their blooms are sure to bring
Joy in purple greetings say
Hello here I am for today!
Violet blooms come and go, but joy is always in season!
