Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Amen, I say to you, it will be hard for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

Matthew 19:23-24

Jesus looked around and said to his disciples, “How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God!” The disciples were amazed at his words. So Jesus again said to them in reply, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for one who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

Mark 10:23-25

  1. Dear GMC, I wanted to thank you for giving us Our Lady of China to pray for us. I trust in her intercession to settle rebellions big and small, in the world and in my own heart. On Sunday, before I even asked, I was more thinking about her after your post, and she settled an unrest that was about to erupt in me. I was just washing dishes and just as calmly the peace came over me and has stayed with me and I don’t even remember now what it was that was going to bother me. Thank you Our Lady of China, bring all hearts to Your Son. And thank you GMC for my devotion to OLC!

      1. Thank you, GMC! I dedicate my comments always to Father John Powers, CP and the late Father Daniel Weiscopf who both taught me to stay open to the grace of God in my life. And thank you for you and Father Victor Hoagland, CP whose blog brings many opportunities for Grace and blessings. I offer all my meager prayers and unfailing gratitude. May the Passion of Jesus Christ be always in our hearts. Our Lady of China, pray for us.
