Like Sparrows

“Like Sparrows”
A reflection on Matthew 10:29-31
Sunday of the Twelfth Week in Ordinary Time (Year A)

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Matthew 10:29-31 (ESV)

The Value of an Adam

Nothing is too small or insignificant for the Creator of the universe. If an atom contains a universe, how much more an adam?

Do you not know that you are God’s temple
and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?

1 Corinthians 3:16 (ESV)

Fear not! Like sparrows, into Abba’s hands, fall.
He counts all your hairs, though you are small.
