Pentecost

โ€œPentecostโ€ (2 panels)
A reflection on Acts 2:1-4
Pentecost Sunday
ยฉ๏ธ2021 Gloria M. Chang

When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.

Acts 2:1-4

A mighty wind and tongues of fire
Ignited and set hearts afire. Alleluia!

  1. Dear GMC, thank you for blessing our Easter days with your inspiring and colorful reflections. Have a blessed and happy Pentecost.

  2. Holy Spirit is known to be loud,
    Mighty wind blowing,
    Whistling through walls and windows,
    Slipping under door thresholds,
    Entering hearts open, not proud.
    Yet I’ve known Spirit whispers,
    Low moans when at prayer,
    Sending grace wrap arounds,
    Sparking fire in each layer,
    Flaming my tongue into praise.
