John 11:25 from which the Gospel Acclamation is adapted
Wednesday of the Fourth Week of Lent
©️2021 by Gloria M. Chang
For I know that my Redeemer lives,
Job 19:25-26 (RSV)
and at last he will stand upon the earth;
and after my skin has been thus destroyed,
then from my flesh I shall see God.
I AM the Resurrection and the Life.
Whoever believes in me will live, even if he dies.
“I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” John 5, 30
I get things done as required daily.
Every day offers choices:
Some I hear and judge as worthy,
Others I dismiss or postpone.
How to judge justly which actions to do?
Am I seeking my own will or
Acting in accord with Spirit led grace?
I need to ask., “Whose am I?”
“Who sent me here?”
Lord, teach me your ways,
Be a light unto my path,
Be a lamp on my feet.
May the Lord open our hearts to hear his voice.
“But if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and he will be given it.”
-James 1:5
