The angel of the LORD said to Abraham, “Do not lay your hand on the lad or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.”

God did not spare his own Son,
but handed him over for us all.

神既不愛惜自己的兒子，
為我們眾人捨了。
How will I respond?
What gift to give to ONE
who is handed over,
to endure rejection,
to suffer manipulation,
to die by crucifixion,
as Lord of life and death?
I offer my heart
filled with compunction,
beating in syncopation,
pouring out supplication,
Lord, have mercy on me
and upon the whole world.
May your heart beat as one with the heart of Christ!
