I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.
Secret to Joy
Do you have a secret ingredient for your Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing, or pie? The secret to joy at our heavenly banquet is in the name itself: the Holy Eucharist (from Greek eukharistia, which means “thanksgiving”). Beloved children of God are made for thanksgiving. As air fills the lungs, bringing health and vigor to the body, gratitude swells the heart with joy in the Holy Spirit.
It is truly right and just, our duty and salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks, Father most holy, through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, your Word through whom you made all things, whom you sent as our Savior and Redeemer, incarnate by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin.
Eucharistic Prayer II
Let us give thanks to the Lord.
