Psalm 17:8 from which the Entrance Antiphon is adapted
Tuesday of the Third Week of Lent
©️2021 Gloria M. Chang
He found him in a desert land,
Deuteronomy 32:10-11 (RSV)
and in the howling waste of the wilderness;
he encircled him, he cared for him,
he kept him as the apple of his eye.
Like an eagle that stirs up its nest,
that flutters over its young,
spreading out its wings, catching them,
bearing them on its pinions.
Keep me as the apple of your eye;
Hide me in the shadow of your wings.
Traditional Chinese Translation
《四旬期, 第18天》
求你保護我,如同保護眼中的瞳人;
將我隱藏在你翅膀的蔭下。

On eagle wings I ride,
Far from my ego drive.
Carry me, Lord, to the place,
Where my soul will thrive.
“They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar on eagles’ wings; They will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
