My God, my God,
why have you forsaken me?

  1. Often I have felt forlorn,
    Forsaken and forgotten.
    Remedial action:
    I look upon the crucifix,
    Seeing Christ’s suffering,
    Reality not fiction,
    Lingering at the cross
    Changes my selfie view.
    Prayer spills from my mouth.
    “Lord, have mercy on me.”
